Vijendra Gairola (“VJ”);
A graduate of Schulich School of Business (Toronto), VJ has over 18 years of experience in Banking and Trade Creation in North America, South America and Asia where he held progressively senior positions, shaping and supporting business interests of various organizations. He spent the last five years holding the Diplomatic position of the Country Head-India of EDC (“Export Development Canada”), strategizing and growing the presence of EDC in India, thereby supporting Canadian and Indian business interests in India. Under VJ’s leadership, EDC grew its Indian portfolio to over USD 3billion in Debt and Equity with India becoming third largest revenue contributor to EDC.
A well-recognized expert in Banking and Trade, VJ is a frequent speaker at large gatherings of businesses organized by the Canadian federal and provincial governments. VJ also sits on the Board of Indo-Canada Business Chamber as well as on the Advisory Board of Zone Start-up (a start-up accelerator that is a JV between Bombay Stock Exchange and Ryerson) as well as PE fund run by ZS.
VJ is strategic advisor and representative of Canadian companies in India in Infrastructure, Financial, Energy and Clean-Tech sectors. He is also advising large Indian companies in Healthcare, Education, Water and Mining sectors in expanding across various sectors and geographies and negotiating tie-ups between Canadian and Indian companies.
Ashok Barat is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
He began his career with Hindustan Lever Limited (as it was then called, now Unilever) and worked in positions of increasing responsibility, both in India and overseas with Pepsi, Electrolux, Telstra and Heinz. He recently retired as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Forbes & Company Limited, a large BSE listed company of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
He is the Past President of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Trustee on various Public Trusts (such as Mumbai Port Trust), and a Member on the Board of Directors of a number of public and private companies.
His executive and Board experiences cover a diverse range of enterprises and business sectors, including – multinational corporations, family groups, private and listed entities, joint ventures with foreign partners and State enterprises, in consumer and consumer durables, telecom and technology, shipping, oil and gas (particularly offshore), banking and finance, infrastructure and industrial manufacturing.
Post retirement, after spending 40 years in corporate life, he now runs an independent advisory practice, including a very niche advisory – “PathFinder” -aimed at helping overseas SME enterprises establish their beach head in India by providing mentorship, stewardship and oversight.
He regularly speaks at public forums on public policy, economic matters and legal issues.
Mohita Arora, has 25 years of strong business, strategic & marketing expertise across Multinational and Indian organizations, diverse industries, work cultures and products. Her experience spans fast moving consumer goods, wines & spirits, food & beverages, financial services, media and fashion. She has proven ability in business turnarounds, new business development, and, change management.
She has held senior marketing positions at some of the best global organizations, Procter & Gamble, Diageo, PepsiCo, and Standard Chartered Bank. As well as, at leading Indian conglomerates, Godrej, and Hindustan Times Media.
Now as a Marketing & Brand Consultant, she advises a wide range of consumer facing businesses. She has pioneered the concept of an In-sourcing Consulting Model, versus, the traditional outsourcing model. She works hands-on as a clients resource to deliver real time, measurable, incremental value. She is also Visiting Faculty at the S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, and, the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
She holds a Master of Management Studies degree from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, and, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai.
She lives in Mumbai, has keen interests in sailing and the Indian Performing Arts, and worships water.

He held board positions in Thailand, India and Philippines. Prior to joining AXA, he worked with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Cadbury Plc., ICI Plc., BILT and the Oberoi Group in India and UK apart from working across Asia.

Anil Kamath who is based in Dubai assists in originating and executing cross-border corporate finance transactions, in the Indo-UAE corridor
Anil holds over 25 years of multi-faceted international professional experience in investment management, investment banking and research of various asset classes and underlying securities including alternative investments. He has held “CXO” level positions giving him the ability to have a 360° perspective of businesses. Over his professional career he has evaluated more than $300 million of alternative investment transactions, managed a $25 million Indian listed equities fund and successfully closed $150 million of investment banking transactions across debt placement, corporate advisory, structured products, private placements and M&A transactions. He has worked across multiple geographies like South Asia, North America and the Middle East.
His expertise covers investment analysis and portfolio management, due diligence, business valuations, deal structuring, business reorganization (Mergers & acquisitions) plans and remedial situation management. Anil holds a BS in Engineering, MBA (Finance), MS (Finance) and is a CFA charter holder.
He currently serves on the advisory board of Rakha Al Khaleej International Group (UAE) a group involved in the distribution and trading of polymers globally.
